Holz als nachhaltiger Rohstoff
Wood as a sustainable raw material
Cellulose-based fibres such as Modal®/MicroModal® are becoming increasingly popular in the textile industry. But what exactly is cellulose? It is the main component of plant cell walls and the most abundant organic compound in nature.
As a natural building block of the renewable raw material wood, cellulose is biodegradable. This means that cellulose-based fibres can be returned to the natural cycle at the end of their life.
We source our fibres from the Austrian quality fibre manufacturer Lenzing, which uses beech wood from certified, sustainable forestry. Healthy forests are essential ecosystems and must be managed responsibly.
Forests are not only home to countless plant and animal species, but also play a vital role for us humans. Trees absorb large amounts of CO₂ during photosynthesis, store it and contribute significantly to reducing climate change.
Bio-based modal fibres for your favourite velvety-soft underwear
Sustainably sourced modal fibres are not only good for the environment, but also for you. Thanks to their exceptionally soft feel, they are ideal for underwear and other garments worn close to the skin.
They are skin-friendly, easy to care for and retain their shape well. Modal fibres are also known for their high moisture absorption and breathability, and can be easily blended with other fabrics.
